Surprised
So the major topic of discussion around my circle of acquaintances is that Metropark is going out of business. It’s not a rumor as it’s all over business articles and news and even the their shopping website. Apparently they owe $8.8 mil USD to everyone from Wells Fargo, Joe’s Jeans, True Religion, Westfield Shopping Malls, etc. It’s rather bittersweet for someone like myself to see this because I did work over 2-3 years of my life there and actually liked it for sometime. However at the same time I felt I was done dirty for a few things I didn’t deserve. Crazy how life flips shit around like that huh? Anyways they are having a liquidation sale whilst they try to swoon a new buyer but I doubt that’ll happen.
In other news, the Lakers are losing and I told myself I wouldn’t trip until the series is over. There’s all this media hype about trust issues, again. Really if there were trust issues how the hell did they win back to back championships and go to the finals every year for the past 3 years? Let’s hope that Laker switch gets flipped on soon, but nothing would be sicker to see them fall to 3 losses, climb back up win the series, take the western conference finals and 3 peat in the finals, crazy shit, but if there’s one team that can do it, it’s Kobe and the Lakers.
Well it’s past 1 pm and I have work at 3. I was supposed to get an oil change at 1pm but switched my appointment to Monday which is my next day off. Damn closing today thru Mother’s Day, that’s weak, but whatever it’s a hustle that not everyone can do I suppose.
Alright time to grab some lunch before I get ready, later.
