Holidays are always so maniacal, and I think it’s major reason for being such, is because of work. However in different circumstances I’d say for once, you know, while being separated from your loved one, spending endless hours at the damn mall and dealing with psycho merchandise demanding folk, it’s going pretty well as of late.
My manager’s been on my case for practically everything these past 3 months and for once, I’ve finally gotten my revenge, if you choose to call it that, by getting under her skin and pushing her buttons. Obviously, and to all, I am not doing anything that demonstrates illicit work ethics, just doing whatever pertains to my job duties, and yet it’s her standing below me (because of her height disadvantage) yelling, kicking and screaming about every little thing, I’ve now seen the light of everything associated with her and work, so whenever I’m in sticky situation, I just laugh it off, not as a defense mechanism but because it’s really that damn hilarious. Nobody should stress out from work and neither should I. Everything will fall into place very soon, I can see that, so for the time being, might as well enjoy the ride, right?
I can’t wait for next year, it’s going to be a really dope chapter in my life, I know it. Excited to do anything and everything, whenever I want with whoever I want. I’ve said it before and haven’t really initiated anything, but traveling will definitely be a top priority. I get excited just thinking and planning for it but we’ll keep it under wraps for now since I’m still trying to focus on the present, so I won’t get carried away.
As for being off today, it’ll give me some time to reflect on the past month, but with Christmas and the New Year close at hand I know I’ll be busy as always. I’m spending the prior with Lynn’s family again. On Xmas eve I have work until about 7pm and then it’s straight to SSSJ, to dress down and enjoy midnight mass with the extended fam. Probably going to enjoy dinner and maybe we’ll do something Christmas night, but we’ll see, whatever we may do, it’s always fun.
Ok, I’ve got lots of cleaning to do so, I’m out of here.
